A Premiere Cause: Evan Almighty
If you’re like me and not a Red Sox fan (don’t everyone slaughter me at once - I’m not a Yankee fan either; just not a baseball fan at all), you avoid the Fenway area during the summer months like the plague. I always have a printed out copy of the Red Sox schedule in my purse, so I know when it’s home game time and to steer clear of Kenmore Square.
However, this Thursday, June 21st, there’s not a game scheduled, so head on down to the area without fear! Steve Carell of “The Office” fame will be at the Boston premiere of his new movie Evan Almighty at the Regal Fenway Cinemas, 201 Brookline Ave. Tickets will be $75 for the 7:00 showing. Don’t worry, if you haven’t gone to see a movie for a while, ticket prices haven’t gone up that much. The proceeds go to benefit the Zachary Carson Brain Tumor Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Call (617) 332-0728 for more information or to reserve tickets.
So, meet the funny man himself while also contributing to a worthwhile cause…that and you might actually find parking near Fenway Park!
